XMods '99 Nissan Skyline
This page is for my XMods 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R V*spec (GF-BNR34). I will list the hop-ups the car and and show pics of them installed. Radio Shack makes these little cars and they are really nice. They are just about as adjustable as any hobby grade R/C. I was really surprised how adjustable and well built they are. I will give a full review of it after I have had more time to run it. As for now onto the pics.
I took these pics in a hurry tonight to get some up for the site, so they are not the best. I will try and take some outside tomorrow. There are a few comparison pics next to my Maxx and Stampede of how small these cars are. The list of hop-ups as of now are full TinyRC.com sealed bearing kit, Led Light kit, Ni-MH batts, and some brake rotors I made. Take a look and let me know what ya think.
Well I got my digicam working right and daytime rolled around so I took some more and better pics of the Skyline. These things really are a great little car from Radio Shack. I'm really impressed how nice they are. Well here are the new pics. Check back often for updates and feel free to drop me an E-Mail with any questions you have.
Well I finally got a new digicam. As you know from the last pics the screen was not working right on my old one and I was tired of messing with it. I got my Xmod all hoped-up over Christmas as my friends got me parts as presents. The list of RS hop-ups is: All Wheel Drive Kit, Stage 2 Motor Kit, Body Kit, Wheel Upgrade, Tire Upgrade Kit, Suspension Upgrade, Decal Set, XMods Tool Kit. I also have made a lower skid plate, and front dust shield. These two mods came from some people at TinyRC.com. The other custom thing you may notice is the quad exhaust. This I made out of some nylon tubes and lexan. I can't tell ya where to get the tubes as they were given to me by a friend that use to work at a molding plant. So I don't know where you would get them. The last few pics are of how I have my case setup to carry my XMods stuff. The only thing that doesn't fit is the XMods Tool Kit. So here are the pics. Hope you like them. I'm hoping to get some pics with my friends XMods when he gets his Supra painted. Now the pics.
Well I finally got around to painting my Skyline. I painted the same colors as my Maxx's Hummer body. Silver, Red, and Black. This was the first body I have painted in a long time with my airbrush. But I have to say it turned out pretty darn good. A couple of the pics show the stand I used to hold the body while I painted it. It's the body hold down from the XMods case zip-tied to a piece of PVC pipe slid into a work light stand. Well here are the pics of the car. I will get some better ones during the day.
